Anyone could finish Ninja Gaiden without looking at the screen. The final boss fight is literally just standing in place slashing.
He didn't say he played the entire game without looking. Although, that is probably not impossible, either. The game has no randomness, so you could memorize every enemy in the game. Hell, I probably have the first four levels almost completely memorized myself!
