If I can play Child of Eden on my Vita and/or tablet without the latency being bad enough to throw off the chain timing, I am sold. Timing is very important for keeping a combo going.

But then again, that game isn't even up for download on PSN. Wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't make it on to the service.

Either way, I am definitely interested. My concern though, is likely to be a very real concern for a lot of games. Let's see how good this tech is.

no, me either - but there always has been a market for it, so I can see why they'd want the feature.

yeah I see your point. My guess is it will appeal to more (sigh) 'casual' gamers, who want to say like "oh I used to love Crash Bandicoot, why don't I rent it for a half-hour to remember it," but I'm wondering how big that market is? How big will that stream of income be? I mean, I doubt the majority of us here would pay a monthly fee for such a thing. I could be wrong of course. I just know I would not. For the same monthly fee, I'd rather just spend $ on games to add to my collection. And as I said, have no interest in renting a game for a night.

As collectors though we are the minority. Most people do not collect, they just want to play and do not care about the medium. It will also put it in peoples price range if it is cheap. Think about it, playing a rare PS1 title for a few bucks a month vs. the out of reach price to buy it.

Yup: I'm guessing as soon as stuff like Suikoden II or Harmful Park pops up on the service that a lot of people on this forum will happily fork over a monthly fee to play them.

When it happens I will hate myself for paying..... well lets just say more than I wanted to but less that stupid prices for these games LOL.

Now let's hope the US catches up with the rest of the world with better providers sometime soon.

Sounds cool. I mean, it will probably suck, but it sounds kinda like "the future". Imagine if you were a kid and instead of heading out in the rain to go rent a NES game from Blockbusters, you could just push a button on your remote and you're ready to go. I would've never imagined this sort of stuff as a kid.

That's cool how they plan to put this tech straight in to TV's. Ten years down the line you'll just get back from work, throw yourself on the couch, tell your TV "Play Balls 3D" and instant fun. That's like crazy Matrix stuff or something.

If you want to try the beta you should sign up for the newsletter on their website.
It's probably how they'll be sending out invites.
