I don't like modding a system unless I have no choice. I've been using the Cheats N Codes disc to play imports for years. Always worked great.o.pwuaioc wrote:I kind of wanted a seamless experience, not have to keep putting a disc in. I'll see how it goes, though, and if the disc swapping isn't so bad, I may hold off on getting a modchip.
How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?

I only have one import DC game (Sorcerian) and I use Cheats 'N Codes Volume 1 to play it. Extremely easy procedure.
btw does anyone know of any Japan-only DC RPGs worth playing (besides Sorcerian and Langrisser Millennium)?

If you like VM's there's the Sakura Wars games... remakes of 1 & 2, and then the DC 3 & 4.

Sorcerian ARPG, or is dialogue necessary? I know you often use guides for JP games, but I'm not that big of a fan of doing so.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I only have one import DC game (Sorcerian) and I use Cheats 'N Codes Volume 1 to play it. Extremely easy procedure.

Ooohhh I do like Sakura Wars. Never bothered to look into the Dreamcast games for whatever reason (I have played some of the Saturn ones).
Segagaga is pretty neat, but a bit out of my price range unfortunately.
@o.pwuaioc
Don't bother with Sorcerian on DC unless you speak Japanese. There's an English DOS version. I don't use guides that often for JPN games, I can read a fair amount of Japanese. I do keep a dictionary handy.

Segagaga is an awesome game. Very weird and wacky, underrated and a perfect example of how unique and zany Sega were in their heyday.

You also have Fushigi Dungeon, El Dorado Gate, and the Black/Matrix remake, Bone.

So I just found out the most annoying thing about not being able to save anywhere in the first Shenmue... My freaking game crashed right at the end of the day! Now I have to carry all those freaking crates to Warehouse No 8 and No 18 all over again!!!!!!!!!
