well I know it has 2-player split screen for one thing. I haven't delved into anything but the arcade mode yet, but there looked to be a lot of other stuff at the menu screen than just arcade mode. I'll keep you posted.

I have 18 wheeler and I can only get to stage 3 the most. Might have to sit down and really try to play it

it is friggin hard, huh? I couldn't get past the tornado in stage 2. Crazy thing, I read it's only 4 stages long. So it's not a long game either.

Initially I was trying to play it in 3rd person view, as I prefer racing games that way. But I found it a lot easier to control in 1st person.

First person is the best view for the game, especially since the vehicle is so large. It also helps to slip stream more efficiently. Also try to complete all 3 parking challenges for it really helps on the final stage. Try beating it with the expert truck, the Long Horn, using only the more difficult, heavier loads.

18 Wheeler also got a Gamecube port? It's probably just like the DC though.

The sequel, King of Route 66, was a whole lot better. It had a radio attached to the arcade cabinet where you spoke INTO to interact with the game. Pretty neat for its time. It has a PS2 port.

OK, guys, question: Is it worth getting a JP import to save $5? What about two imports for $10 in saving?

The MvC games are what I'm looking at. Generally not that much cheaper than the US counterparts, but cheap enough to be enticing. I don't have them yet, and I'm concerned about the upcoming price hike.

I finally got a Dreamcast! :D I've been wanting one of these for the longest but have putting it off over and over again. I'm pretty excited to explore a whole new library. What are some good games to start the console with?

I already have:
Crazy Taxi
Rush 2049
MvC 2
Chu Chu
Rally 2
NBA Showtime
Sonic Adventure
Soul Calibur

Everyone is going to give you some good suggestions, but in my opinion, support the homebrew market. Make sure to check out:

Sturmwind
NEO XYX
Gunlord
Last Hope: Pink Bullets
Fast Striker 1.5

Dux 1.5
Redux
