What Anime are you Currently Watching?/Anime Recommendations

So, I decided to show my buddy a bit of Madoka, since he was in town for the weekend, aaand... we ended up watching the entire series. The show really lends itself to a 2nd watch, as there are a lot of things to pick up on after seeing the ending (Don't want to spoil anything). Still absolutely love this show.

Last night, my gf and I noticed Attack on Titan was added to Netflix, so we decided to watch a couple episodes before bed. This show is intense right out the gate, and some really nice animation going on. We will definitely be watching more of this.

My wife and I watched episode 1 of Space Dandy last night. While it was very enjoyable, the autotune on QTs voice needs to be minimized.

Right now I'm watching Seitokai Yakuindomo 2 and Noragami.

Nothing currently. I'm usually at least a season or so behind when it comes to the newer shows. The soonest I'll be watching something new is in July when they're saying the Sailor Moon reboot is supposed to air... Unless it gets pushed back again, which wouldn't surprise me.

Just got my Desert Punk in the mail. I loved this on Netflix, anyone suggest shows similar to this?

I'll echo the positive feelings about Space Dandy. I see people criticizing the lack of plot and consistency that the show has exhibited so far, and definitely there's not much going on underneath the visuals (for now anyway). In spite of this, to get a show with really good art direction and animation is such a pleasure that it's easily carrying the series. Now, I'm not sure if on those merits alone Space Dandy can stay interesting for an entire season, and that's assuming that they aren't just busting the animation budget on the first few episodes anyway. The cast feels kind of small and limited right now, and their playing off each other's personalities is nothing special so far. Hopefully we'll get to see a little more going on underneath the surface as the show develops, but as of now it still has a lot to appreciate and enjoy.

Space Dandy is directed by watanabe(bebop, samurai champloo, macross plus). I have faith that it will be good. The first episode looked promising, and at the very least it looks like it will be a damn fun show.
