The doujin scene is pretty big and there's a shitload of VNs and whatnot in the PC realm, so it's not like the Japanese don't play PC games.

They seem to be coming around though, I feel like we've been seeing more and more big Japanese titles hit PC over the past few years.

I know, but the big name publishers do mostly avoid it.

There was a similar campaign for Cave to release their games on Steam, if I recall correctly. It just makes sense for these smaller companies. They don't even have to pay for licensing and, in the case of Cave, porting is trivial when you develop for the Xbox 360.

I dunno, Capcom has a lot of PC titles right now, as does Sega. Even Konami is in on the action. Street Fighter IV and KOF 13 on PC? If you can get those two, you're already ahead of the game.

True, I gotta say that JP gaming companies need to adapt to the new-wave of gaming distribution, for SEGA to still remain console-focus is a bit absurd. Now they have Altus (and Altus USA) under their control, I think they should look to Steam to release games that were never released, or had limited release to the Western market.

Persona and SMT games for PC! :D

I would looove things like Nocturne, Devil Survivor, Persona, etc to get PC releases. Not likely, of course.
My B/S/T thread! :)

I'm pretty sure that this would not qualify as the most noble use of Change.org, but there is a well-organized petition here:

https://www.change.org/petitions/sega-i ... egapcports

The recognition from several gaming news outlets as well as insiders at Sega and Platinum Games is encouraging.

Again, given the number of Japanese-developed titles already out on the PC, they are clearly watching the market. As sales get better, they may get friendlier to the platform, especially given how similar the hardware is in the new Xbone and PS4 to the PC.
