Post by squiggles2187 »

hey just wanted to know if theirs a way to clean up the image on my genesis, so it looks better on screen...
i have numerous lines/ static, and wanted to know how to fix this...
i remember my genesis i had when i was a kid, had this problem also, is it something inside that just gets bad after time ?
Also is their anywhere to buy longer genesis controllers than the ones they came with...

what connection are you using? rca? or cable? cable will be very fuzzy and has everything to do with its position, movement, etc. id suggest picking up a rca and you will see great improvements!

Get Controller extension cables for your genesis (I use 2600 extension cables that I got in a lot). A good place to buy them is on racketboy store for $1.25 + shipping. (out of stock)

yes that is the one you need.
as for your nes it uses red and yellow composite cable.

It depends what kind of Genesis you have. Model 1 consoles use different cables than the 2 and 3 do.

Exactly! The model one has a larger connector and only outputs mono sound. Stereo is acheived via the headphone jack with a headphone to stereo rca cable. The model 2 has a smaller connector (similar size to an s-vid cable) and outputs stereo audio as well. There isn't anything universal for sega and nintendo consoles, but the snes, n64 and gamcube can use the same composite cables. The nes just uses standard mono av cables as mentioned before. Best best is to get a multiple av selector and run that into your tv.
