Though not quite as charming as the original, it's still a cute and fun movie that I enjoyed and certainly a worthy sequel. It was driving me nuts not having seen this yet, as the company I work for was doing a joint ad campaign with the movie when it debuted so I was constantly seeing or hearing about it at work and seeing TV commercials featuring Gru's minions and our company mascot
I found it to be even more endearing than the first. Either way, DM2 has one of the best musical sequences in movie history.

Yeah, that was pretty entertaining. While I do like the first movie better, it's a marginal difference. Both of them are great in my opinion. I didn't know how I'd feel about the new love interest, but she won me over pretty quickly. There were a few jokes here and there that I thought fell flat, and a few elements that seemed a bit recycled from the first movie, but all in all the movie entertained me from start to finish.

Agnes is still ridiculously cute (much like the cute kid who voices her), El Macho was funny, and I almost died laughing at everything that happened to Shannon after the dinner date. I'm a sucker for physical comedy

X-Men: First Class (2011)

X-Men: First Class is surprisingly enjoyable, despite occasionally dwelling too far into its own silliness. The 60's vibe is well-established, and many scenes offer a filling amount of swanky fun without ever feeling too much like some odd 'young adult' version of the X-Men film franchise. I found this to be very entertaining, but wasn't able to take the majority of it too seriously - especially with Kevin Bacon consistently hamming it up as the main villain.

It's my 2nd favorite X-Men movie, after the awesome X2: X-Men United. Magneto was a complete bad-ass in it. And it was a visual feast.

Stand Up Guys is a freaking awesome movie. Saw it pop up on netflix but hadn't really hear anything about it so I decided to give it a shot. Man am I glad I did has some great actors and is a really good experience overall. Story has good pacing and by the end you start to really like the characters.

To sum it up it's a buddy buddy gangster flick in which two old friends meet up after one serves an extensive prison sentence. From there they go out partying and trying to relive their youth and end up doing some pretty crazy stuff.

Here is the trailer but it spoils a lot.

Watched this last night with my girlfriend. Didn't know much going into it, other than that it was a Dreamworks film about people protecting a forest. By the end, I was thoroughly impressed and it turned out to be a great movie that really handled the 'save the forest' cliche in a refreshing new way. The best way I can think to describe it is some sort of hybrid of Fern Gully, The Secret of Nimh, and the Borrowers.

It was made better by a great cast of voice actors like Christoph Waltz, Colin Farrel, Jason Sudeikis, Anziz Ansari, and even Steven Tyler. That, combined with good writing, great comedic moments, and intense action and fight scenes all made for an enjoyable flick that I'd recommend to anyone who likes a solid animated movie.
