But the release date is still "Sometime" isn't it?
Haven't checked his site in a while, but the last I remember he's had a bunch of updates that usually end with "This is taking longer than I'd thought". I for one would love to see the budget of the movie and how he plans (if he plans) on breaking even. I'm assuming this will be am Internet only release, save for his local theater and screenings at conventions and such.
How has James Rolf (aka AVGN) influenced you as a gamer?

Happy Console Gamer finished up his movie project over the summer and I don't think made a whole lot on it; then again, his budget and audience are definitely smaller and I don't believe he ever had aspirations of it ever reaching theatres. It's a decent watch if you like the character and have an hour to kill.Luke wrote:But the release date is still "Sometime" isn't it?

When I did a youtube search a bunch of pervy ads popped up on my feed, so no.
I've never even heard of League of Angels (I also clear my cache daily as routine) and all of a sudden, VG Boobs everywhere.

No, it's another one of those online browser games that uses sex solely to advertise, like Evony Online. It's aimed at you because of your interest in games, not anything else. I get annoyed by them too. And I especially get annoyed by League of Angels, because some of the content of their ads was blatantly ripped from the DOA series.Luke wrote: Um...

Watching his Silver Surfer review found me a new favorite game in Silver Surfer. Other than that, no.

Am I the only person that doesn't watch videos of other people playing video games on youtube on a regular basis?
I find Robbaz funny but I don't want to spend more then 5 minutes at a time ever watching anything on youtube.

If you start your sentence with "Am I the only one..." you can probably stop there, you're not.

Whilst he was the first 'Retro' reviewer I ever watched I was like 12 so I think I watched it more for the cursing and poop jokes. I think what really got me into the retro gaming scene as a hole were more people like The Happy Console Gamer, The Happy Videogame Nerd and modders such as Ben Heck and Retrogametech. James Rolfe definitely introduced me too it however, and probably started me on the slippery slope towards game hunting and exploring systems that are in multiple cases older than me.
