I'll use Funimation's streaming again when it gets up to par. Hopefully soon.
I was not aware if it was legal or not. :o  :( Looks like a streaming site like crunchy roll to me.
Yea. It's definitely not. But you're still free to use it, of course.

While I am neutral on getting things for free, I do not mind paying if I can afford to. As it is so cheap I would prefer to do the right thing.

Now I just need to learn what shows are good and those that are not. My only real requirement on shows is that they are dubbed. I hate subs, do not like reading while watching TV LOL

In that case Netflix might appeal, and Hulu has a fair bit of anime as well (along with offering subs and dubs if available).

Really, if you're not big on subs, then most of the less-than-legal sources for anime likely won't appeal to you. Usually their priority is on getting shows available soon after broadcast (like Crunchyroll and sometimes Funimation do), but dubs usually don't happen until US DVD/Blu-ray release some time later.
That and most anime fans prefer subs. If you're simply not used to 'em, you might try to acclimate, as they become less of a hurdle with practice.

There are plenty of suggestions in earlier posts, but anime is very diverse, so if you have something you've liked before we may be able to suggest something based on that.

What are your guys opinions of Crunchyroll? I'm thinking of rolling with that to catch up with all the anime instead of using my Prime Amazon Instant video account.. I don't even think there are any anime Prime listings for it.. I mean I want a premium crunchyroll account..

Another reason I lay off the subs is that about every three or four weeks my injections start to wear off and reading becomes a chore for me. While I can still enjoy images as the distortions I experience are less noticeable, text becomes a little more difficult for me. I will go 1-3 weeks like this at times and though I can read larger text it is still a mess. It is a little demoralizing to, so I tend to avoid things that a hard to see correctly. Thus I prefer to hear things rather than read them. I have switched to audio books since these problems began and truly enjoy those also.

PS: When I say injections I really mean injections in my eyes LOL. You should see the looks I get when I tell people I have done this and over 70 times now!! I even have a video of it if anyone is interested. :D Yeah, my eyes are sore, a lot. :(

I've been largely happy with it. I've run into occasional bandwidth issues with them, but most of the time it's fine, and unlike Hulu+the premium accounts remove ads.

The main pull is probably more along the lines of keeping up with new releases though. If you're watching through completed series, you may be as well served by Hulu (barring ads), which actually has quite a bit. (Hulu does carry "current" anime as well, just not as much).

Ah, that sucks

Well, again, Netflix is decent - often it gets passed over due to largely having dubs. Hulu often has both.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my Crunchyroll subscription. There's a bunch of stuff on there, and they get a decent amount of simulcasts too. Of course, if it's anything Funimation grabs up for license it ain't on there, so there's that.

Obviously I am basically an anime newb. Watched the older shows when I was young and now trying to diversify. When I say older I mean Robotech and Battle of the Planets LOL. Not much more, unless you call Voltron anime.

Decided to buy Ranma 1/2, found the entire series for 75 and it was all trade credit on stuff that cost me very little. So basically it was free. The premise sounded like it would be funny, what are your opinions?
