On the non-hardest difficulties the Brave command also only costs a single BP (any extras are from abilities like the Valkyrie's). So in the battles where I start off with 1 BP I could do a Brave on each character with no penalty. I played on the second hardest difficulty (I can't remember if there was three or four settings) and I quickly realized that the best way to go for the early battles was to activate Brave on every character to do four attacks per, so 16 attacks vs the enemy party would completely wipe them out.

Yeah, I was on the 2nd hardest too. I guess that would explain it.

For what it's worth, there was still some challenge to be had there, especially on bosses.

Zero i found what it is! It's Shantae and the Pirate's Curse!!!
Did a quick search to find that screenshot and I think it looks kickass! I'm really starting to get excited about this game. Hmm, I still need to play Risky's Revenge.

So, I got a 3DS XL for Christmas. I played a DS to see what the fuss was about regarding the visual quality of DS games on it and I don't get it. My game looks just fine on it. Can someone fill me in as to what the problem is?

Sorry, if this has been mentioned to death in this thread, I didn't read the whole thing. Also, if no one knows what I'm talking about, apparently playing DS games on the 3DS is supposed to make the games look ugly because of the larger screens and higher resolution. However, I don't see the problem. I think it looks great.

I believe the complaints were about DS games on the original 3DS screen. You have an XL though.

I've noticed that DS games look a little "off" but not enough for me to give a shit about.

And holy balls Bravely Default does indeed kick ass.

3DS is higher resolution, but not by a very significant amount. Regular DS games tend to look blurrier than they should. And it'll mess with sprites for 2D games. But usually not awful. You can change it to 1:1 mode, but it makes the picture very small on a regular 3DS. Not so bad on XL.

I haven't played on an actual DS for years. I loaded up all my DS games on my 3DS the other day expecting the worst. They look fine.

I don't like playing my DS games on 3DS. They look washed out and blurry. My DSi screen is bigger and brighter and the games look clearer and more colourful on it. Plus the battery lasts 3 -5 hours longer.

Maybe it's just your screen settings on the 3DS. I played Elite Beat Agents today and it looked bright and crisp.

Wow, I played Link Between Worlds on my 3DS XL that came in the mail today. It was almost like seeing the game for the first time. That XL screen makes a huge difference
