I'm no plumber, but I think PVC is a pretty neat material for building stuff. I have built shelves, carts, racks, canopies, and all sorts of stuff out of PVC. It's surprisingly versatile.

Oh ok, that particular thing. Well at least it stuck in your brain.Forlorn Drifter wrote:"Don't get something you really like, because you will just crash it and be upset."

Smile: I have internet again!
So yesterday I woke up and notice the bedroom was really cold - I started to wonder if maybe something happened to the insulation on the sliding door in the bedroom. Then I realized that my mind was working like I naturally woke up with no rush, rather than the "wake up five minutes before the alarm" thing I normally do. I looked at the alarm clock and saw I had no power.
So I get ready for work and head out, hoping the power will be restored by the time I get home, and 60 seconds later I discover why I don't have power; the only road in and out of my neighborhood is currently closed due to one of the power line poles falling over into the road.
Fired an email off to my boss that I wouldn't be able to make it in or work from home and busted out the portables. I keep a couple DS's and my PSP charged at all times, so I had enough to last me for the day. At around 2pm my neighbor stopped by to let me know that the power company was letting people in and out for the next little while before they closed it again for another several hours. I took that time to escape to get some food (I had nothing in the house that didn't need to be cooked/heated) and then went and saw Secret Life of Walter Mitty to pass the time. I got back at 6pm and the power had recently been restored, but the cable was still out. It wasn't until this morning that the cable was restored.

I guess this means I get to practice my angry letter writing skills.

By a few days I mean 5. Take it as you want. On the plus side, I'm listening to some Def Leppard while she's not here yet, so I got that going for me, which is nice.puke_face wrote:Ticked/frown.. Ticked - HOA meeting tonight. In the past month one of the neighbors has dug into it and we discovered so many things that are just illegal. Like how the HOA spent 2k on landscaping in December for the common area, when it was actually spent on a one of the boards lawns... If we dont have enough people for the meeting, it will be dismissed until next year.
Smile - In talking to Ack in chat, I figured out the three wiring diagrams I needed to for my Nintendo VS. Now to wait for the bloody Retron 5 to drop. The diagrams are video, power, and controls. I can rig it mostly up once I get some decent 3rd party NES controllers. The concept is to have a built in computer for one side to play PCE games, and the Retron for the other for NES games mostly. But if a fighting game needs to be played, flip some switches and grab a fight stick nearby and you have a Capcom style vs cab with the option for controllers.
