Best Games That Suit the DS

Post by slowslow325 »

What are some of the games that make great use of the DS's features (Touch screen, 2 screens, microphone)?

Probably the best one in my opinion is Zelda Phantom Hourglass. Regardless of how you feel about the Zelda series, it really is the most complete and innovative user of DS features. At times it's honestly amazing, specifically the things the designers planned around the DS' features.

They use everything amazingly, including the fact that the two screens are held together by a hinge... Just play the game and you'll understand.

Genius.

IMHO these

The World Ends With You

Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan

Wario Ware Twisted (although i liked Wario Ware Twisted for the GBA more)

Kirby Canvas Curse

Nintendogs

Brain Age

Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword

and of course as the above guy said Phantom Hourglass pushed the DS unique capabilities to the limits.

Are there any games that only use one screen on the DS?
Does mario kart DS use the touch screen in any way?

Mario Kart DS uses both screens, but one screen has the map while the other one has the gameplay. There is a large number of DS games that don't use the touch features of the bottom screen, or use them so peripherally that it doesn't matter. But every game uses both screens.
