Damn the caves are so much bigger than the forest. Did some exploring and leveling up.... for like 2 hours.

Found the boss teleporter and then use a telepipe to get out of there. Gonna do the cave quests first, then the boss.

And I finally discovered that I can buy a gun! What a great weapon. A couple of times when I was low on health I just stood in a doorway and blasted away at enemies. Kinda cheap but whatevs.

So I finally got set up with Blue Burst and started playing tonight.

I wanted to get caught up with you guys level wise, so I started playing alone.

I completed 1-1 and got to level 4, but the game is throwing a ridiculous number of enemies at me. Seems like I'm fighting enemies meant for a team, rather than just 1 person. I didn't see any obvious way of starting in single player, so I just created my own team, so I'm currently blaming it on that unless somebody knows better.

Hope I can join up with you guys soon. My character name is CJ, for when that time comes.

You're correct. The government quests aren't really designed for single player new characters. Try out some of the sidequests on one player mode first if you're playing alone.

Of course that also means nobody else can join the game.

There's an option to change it to one player mode when you're creating the game in the lobby. Besides replacing the government or "Episode 1" quests with "Sidequests" it also lowers the stats of the enemies to make things more manageable for one player.

yeah single player mode is prob a good way to get used to things and do some grinding. When you create a team in the lobby change it from "normal" to "single player."

And I agree w/ Gunstar. Sometimes the safety of a door is your best friend - especially when you're trying to play alone.

Here's me, AJ, VBD and Fragems playing last night:

Gunstar kindly helped me through a couple dragon runs last night.

I'll be on in approximately 9.5 hours from the timestamp on this post. If that aligns with Gunstar, Noise, SB, Alien, VBD, Fragems, or whomever don't be afraid to hit me up.

We don't care what level anyone is. This is Together Retro. This month it is all about getting people together to play the game. This is why we create our own teams so we can have our own etiquette.

Just having fun:

I must have not seperated my thoughts well enough there.

I wasn't making a point that anyone was being excluded from online play with RB members. I was trying to say I was thrilled to run into a guy from the forum last night and I'd like to play with other people too if they happened to be on at the same time as I will be tonight.
