I noticed today that a few of my SNES carts had discolored backs to them, so the front part of the cartridges look different. I stumbled upon this article in regards to getting rid of the discoloration...

Anyone here tried any of these methods? Any tips on getting the plastic in the cart back to the original gray? I think I'm going to try the Magic Eraser method first since I have some in our cleaning closet.

Re: SNES cart discoloration...
Cool. Some one posted that same link on UG.
One idea I had for a while but never did, lightly sanding down the SNES console to expose the 'correct' color plastic underneath. And then maybe putting some kind of non gloss clear coat on it. I guess you could apply this same idea to a cart.
edit: Didn't realize my idea was already on that page, wasn't there the last time I read it lol.

Re: SNES cart discoloration...
Of all the SNES and Sufami carts I have, only the backs of them become discolored. So, I just buy a really cheap game *annual sports title* and use the screw adapter for the special screw, replace and blammo... A perfect looking cart.
