noiseredux wrote:AJ, yeah you can totally just jump right into to online with us. In fact, it would be to your benefit. As long as you hit/shoot an enemy, you get EXP no matter who kills it. So, if you are LVL1 and you're playing with dudes at higher levels, you just want to make sure you shoot everything at least once and even if they do all the killing, they get 100%EXP and you get 80% for helping.
Sweet. Are you guys gonna be playing this weekend? Weekdays might be tricky because I'm anywhere from 5-8 hours ahead of you.

Just tried to clear the forest solo @ level 11 and didn't get done. I will try again.

If I am soloing to level up and get gear what route do you guys recommend - Episode Missions or Side Quests?

I'm sure I'll be playing quite a bit this weekend. I'm snowed in today as well.

As a note, what Noise just said is fine with us here, DO NOT DO IT WITH A RANDOM GROUP. They will get you banned from the service. I am sure that any user on this forum will have no problem with helping out another in game, but other people typically view this as leeching.

good call. I never play w/ random people, so in my head all etiquette is just sort of dictated by the group. For instance when playing w/ SB we usually just ration things like when he was low on $, I told him to take all the $ drops for that quest and he said for me to take first dibs on other drops. Or if one of us is low on monomates we just give the heads up and you sort of have dibs on em for a while. But it definitely seems just a communication thing as far as what's cool and not for the group you're in.

If I played Phantasy Star Online Episode III Card Revolution can I be down this month?
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

I just dont want any of us to do something silly and get in trouble. The guys that run that server have done an amazing job and do it on their own dime. We dont want to cause them any extra trouble.

Noise, you brought up a very good point. Drops are not individualized. Remember this is a 2001 MMO, drops are shared. So if you grab all the meseta/money, no one else is getting any.

TEK, if you want, but it is a very very different game. I actually dont own that one.

So, is it better to set the drops as random or whatever the other setting is? I only ask because some of us may play with other groups in the future and we can always drop to share items in game.
