NO! 360 pad FTW.Ack wrote: Finally learning to play with keyboard and mouse, noise?
I think everything's all set from the get-go, but you can go in and change buttons to your liking. Like, the menu is if you press on the analog sticks. I didn't like that so I changed it to START. And I think START was used to swap the attack pallets, which I didn't like so I swapped to LB.Violent By Design wrote:I have an xbox controller plugged in and it seems to work. Is everything that I'd need binded to the 360 controller already? Or do I have to do some manual binding?
The game doesn't recognize the Triggers by the way. Just the LB and RB. Presumably because it was made before controllers were using both.
Also, if you guys are using a pad, go in and disable the keyboard controls altogether. If you do so then you can now take screenshots with the PRTSCN button. Screenshots will be saved in the BMP folder of PSO.

so im trying to figure out how to start, and im pretty sure the first mission im in is way too hard for my guy. it's like a gauntlet of these really slow sasquash looking guys who just keep spawning.
The quest im in requires me to find a heat sword, I'm pretty sure im in the wrong place >.>

you're in a sidequest. I've played that one - it is tough to jump into when you're just starting out.Violent By Design wrote:so im trying to figure out how to start, and im pretty sure the first mission im in is way too hard for my guy. it's like a gauntlet of these really slow sasquash looking guys who just keep spawning.

Instead, just pick the actual Episode 1 quests. These are the main "story" mode ones. And they are labeled 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, and so on. Those will be the speed you really want to start progressing at.

I... don't know anything about that. I assume that means I'd have to install some sort of client? Why not just use the Steam voicechat, as it seems like all of us have Steam acct's already?Fragems wrote:I have a 15 slot vent server we can use if anyone wants to do voice chat in game. Ventrillo is an older voice chat program, though personally I always used Team Speak instead. Steams chat has some issues with groups bigger than four, unless you have a group chat setup via the guild system.noiseredux wrote:I... don't know anything about that. Fragems, is yours up 24/7? I was going to set one up if people requested it, but if you have one operational, there is no reason for double work.
