Steins;Gate is infinitely more enjoyable and better written. Still need to watch the new movie.

Shush. This is a more original story and I greatly enjoy it, stop hating on it ;-;ZenErik wrote:Steins;Gate is infinitely more enjoyable and better written. Still need to watch the new movie.

I bought serial experiments lain. I really enjoyed the show, despite its slow pace. That is part of its charm I suppose. I also watched gurren lagann, Galaxy express 999, ergo proxy, and gunbuster. The icing on the cake was a movie called Garzeys wing. This movie is beyond awful. It probably has the worst dub I've ever heard. It's directed by the creator of Gundam. For a few giggles watch this video. Show it to everybody you know for 90 minutes of laughter.

Anyone seen Hunter x Hunter?
Do you recommend it?

Are you talking about the new one or the old one? There aren't many drastic differences between the old and new ones, the new one is just faster paced and uses digital animation (and is ongoing).muhanad wrote:Anyone seen Hunter x Hunter?

Either way, as far as shonen series go Hunter x Hunter is pretty solid. In particular the first set of arcs are interesting, well done, and worth watching. After that, opinions about the series start to diverge around parts 5 & 6. Part 5 bugged me because a bunch of the cast and ongoing plot elements throughout the series just kind of went on hold without being resolved, and that coupled with me not being crazy about part 5's new setting and rules turned me off of the show. Part 6 has kind of the same sort of consistency issues from what I understand.
For what it's worth, the show has a pretty cool cast and setting and is definitely enjoyable at first. Like any long running shonen series though, it starts to break down for most people at some point in the extended story when the series begins to feel less and less like itself.

@Dylan Yeah it sounds kind of interesting and I know exactly what you mean about shonen series slowing down. I'm gonna watch the ongoing one then.
Thanks

Anyone use animefreak.com? Is it any good, what is bad about it? Looking for some feedback about it.

I'd rather watch legally or download higher quality torrents. I use Crunchyroll a lot. And for torrents, well, there are a few obvious sites that I won't bother naming.
I'll use Funimation's streaming again when it gets up to par. Hopefully soon.

I was not aware if it was legal or not.ZenErik wrote:I'd rather watch legally or download higher quality torrents. I use Crunchyroll a lot. And for torrents, well, there are a few obvious sites that I won't bother naming.
