Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Why people always mention turok as a N64 exclusive? turok 1 and 2 were on PC as well, i would choose the PC version always.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Playing The Count on VIC-20... What a weird game! It's the only cartridge game I've ever seen that doesn't boot automatically when the system turns on - instead a command must be entered. Try to guess what it is. START? Nope. LOAD? Wrong again. To boot the game you must type SYS 32592. Obviously.
Oh and it has a save feature too. You can save your game provided you have a tape drive and blank cassette!

It was an early case of a console port if I remember right. Unless there's mods or configuring you can do it still has that crazy fog and some of the most insane controls ever. Not recommended. lol
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I played through part of Turok 2 on PC some years ago, and I have to agree. The fog hurts it, and the controls are horrendous. I managed to reconfigure them a bit, but even then it struggled. I don't recommend it.Xeogred wrote:It was an early case of a console port if I remember right. How can you mess up a FPS on a PC?Ack wrote:I played through part of Turok 2 on PC some years ago, and I have to agree. The fog hurts it, and the controls are horrendous. Forced Mouse acceleration or forcing the mouse to register as if it were an analog joystick are both very common ways to do it.Damm64 wrote:How can you mess up a FPS on a PC?

I think Interplay published that.
Nintendo doesn't really "make" PC games - in the past they've allowed other companies to use their IPs.
Ever play the Hudson Mario games?
