I was looking to purchase Cannon Spike again and was shocked to see it going for around $75 on ebay. I just said F-it and bought the Japanese version from Yahoo Auctions for about $23

It seems I may have to start importing more Dreamcast games like I do for the Saturn. Obviously, Dreamcast is nowhere near the ridiculous prices of US Saturn games but I see the trend starting already for certain games.

I thought importing was always super expensive?!

Man I need another console soon. I found a gba sp 101 backlight model and traded it in to get resident evil 2 and I have about 4 titles I want to play that I picked up after my dc died. soul fighter, Tokyo extreme, grandia 2, worms. Need to keep on looking

Not from Japan to the US. Shipping's about the same, maybe a little more expensive.

Speaking of importing, i hear that Rez is pretty import-friendly? I totally want to pick it up, but it seems that the JPN version is cheaper than the PAL one (really, Amazon UK sellers- £65 used, £99 new???).

With regard to actual gaming being done, right now, i recently got a decent price for a good-condition Shenmue 2 on ebay, and have just started playing. I had forgotten how much i loved it when it first came out, and am now reliving the magic all over again.

I just whipped some posterior playing Soul Calibur.

The graphics of this game still hold up today.

If the title came to the US, then the JPN version is no longer "needed" by US customers and it gets cheap. Back in the day I picked up zombie revenge, jet set radio, and incoming (I know) pretty cheap.

Of course the downside is when you pick up an import and it eventually gets released stateside. I paid a pretty penny for a JPN gunbird 2, thinking a title like this would NEVER come to the US :)

In recent DC news, I brought power stone 2 to my department's holiday party, and I think it went over real well. I'll admit the plan was to bring Pac-Man battle royale (X360), but it seems that Namco has problems hitting release dates for technical endeavors like an old pac-man game. So my DC filled in and saved the day.

Speaking of pac-man: If anyone cares, Ms. Pac-Man maze madness has some excellent 4 player action.

Nope, it's actually quite affordable and depending on the console it ends up being cheaper than buying domestically.

It was a beautiful tech demo when the DC came out, just not a lot of substance beyond that.
