The Genesis sequel is the one I own. I haven't been in a rush to get the original Master System one.

Yeah Rastan Saga II aka Nastar aka Nastar Warrior..... It sucks.

btw SMS isn't the only way to play the first one. You can get an arcade perfect version on Taito Legends. Whatever you do avoid the C64 version, it's broken and literally impossible to complete.

And lol........ booty.......

^ I thought the arcade version, and the home version were completely different games.

Well the SMS game has the expected changes - different graphics, shorter levels, etc. I don't know if it's been changed enough to be considered a "different game." More like a console port.

HG101 has some good info:

It's not even remotely similar to, say, Ninja Gaiden or Rygar, where the arcade and NES versions are completely different.

Oh, I thought it was like Ninja Gaiden. Guess I'll just get the Taito Legends, since it's already on my wishlist. (I have Taito Legends 2, which is a must-have collection for shoot-em up fans.)

I actually got this about 3 hours ago. It kicks so much ass. Part 1 is solid too.

Seriously. It's more than worth the price for Darius Gaiden, G-Darius, and RayStorm alone. Those are 3 of the greatest shoot-em ups of their generation. But then there's a ton of great shmups that I hadn't even heard of on there to discover, too!

So close to beating Bioshock Infinite yet I torture myself by trying to defeat Sword of Sodan.

I guess knowing that I have this problem is the first step to recovery. However, I may need a video game intervention one of these days.
