Get some expensive headphones on and soak that one in. I really, really, really wish Jeremy Soule did at least one or two more on the SNES. There is absolutely nothing else that sounds like this game. But I guess that makes it that much more special.

I think Soule did some original remixes of a few tunes or something for some album:

But I can't stress enough as epic as this one is, I prefer the SNES version.

Really enjoy these tracks too:

Overall does remind me a little bit of Terranigma.

I thought Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia's were crazy mixed bags, some good tracks, some awful ones too. Terranigma was definitely on another level.

Probably my favorite from Terranigma... that bass... and best main menu theme ever?

Good, not great. It's certainly worth playing if you can find a cheap copy, but I wouldn't pay too much for it. It does a decent job of feeling like a Rodriguez/Tarantino style grindhouse flick, but the gameplay falls a bit short. It has its moments though, and isn't a particularly tough game to finish. And again, the soundtrack is pretty awesome. If you know who Eliza Dushku is, she voices the main character, which is kind of cool.

I really had no clue it was that sort of game.

If I know? Dude, she was on Buffy!

The remixed Sega tracks on Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed are worth an official OST but they're not bothering it seems.

LOL. Yeah, you're right. That was stupid of me. She does a pretty good job. It's a bad girl role, her specialty.

Always kinda' liked Lagoon's music (SNES game), and I almost never hear about that game except to criticize the reach of his sword:

Also, Darkwing Duck (NES) is as good as any Mega Man game's soundtrack; it was made by Capcom, after all (hell, it practically IS a Mega Man game  ):

So, really, what Sega game doesn't have incredible music? I played a lot of VF2 on the Saturn as a kid, but somehow I never really noticed how good the soundtrack was until now. Maybe it's not so criminally underrated, but it's damn good, and probably rather overlooked.

Click image for "Ride the Tiger"

"Young Knight"
"Theme of Chicago"

That Genesis Remix of "Ride the Tiger," tho.

And how about:

Click it.

Pictionary for the Nintendo entertainment system has some of the most unexpectedly awesome music of the 8-bit generation.
