Whoever does needs to make sure they install the multi-version and not the normal version. Takes more space but it's much more sure to work on all systems. Also, you'd need to specify exactly what apps you want and how you want it configured.

Honestly there's a handful of PS2 games I'd like to add to my collection still, but I would like a means of trying them before I shell out the cash.

What I mean is would you want the PS2 to auto-boot ESR patched backup games for you, as if they were retail discs? Would you want the hacked PS2 BIOS menu or would you prefer the machine to autoboot the more sophisticated ULE? You'd have to explain to your exploit person exactly how you'd be putting it to use.

Either that, or educate yourself and just run the config tool to set everything how you want it. And be aware of the safety recovery methods, should you break the exploit yourself.

Does anyone know if you can ESR patch SnesStation and PGEN isos to run with FreeVast?

I've got SNESstation working, I haven't tried PGEN though.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Anything on a DVD with bootable code (IE: anything a modchipped PS2 can boot) should work with ESR.

main menu screen.
- Fixed bug about loading elfs from OSDSYS turing into simple FMCB reboot

I better not see any more tech questions. It's so idiotproof'd at this point, that no one can have any excuse. They have guides for every possible step now.

But my question which I could not find an answer for is how well does it play psx backups? Ill buy a working (slim) ps2 if it runs them well.

Then again, if Snow Kitty gets modded psxs back in stock this will be moot.
