I don't know, I've always kinda liked Walmart, despite all the problems with it. Its a good place to get most of the stuff you need all at once. And its usually less crowded than the other option, HEB, and I always feel better about myself after a visit.

:D & :( So far, four of the five days I picked up have come and gone.

Sunday I swept the area near the Everest coaster.

Monday I did one side of the area between the entrance and Discover Island (aka Oasis), and with my trash run got stuck and couldn't finish since the gates were closed and I couldn't get aside but my coordinator said he'd get them for me the next morning. I was so grateful for him doing that.

Tuesday was pretty cool (I mean I reached for my long-sleeved undershirt and my long pants) and ended up doing streets at Camp Minnie-Mickey, which is right near where my mom works (Pizzafari), though we never ran into each other, obviously. But every so often, which is when The Festival of the Lion King lets out, the area gets SWAMPED! There was also characters in the area (Chip and Dale, Donald Duck, Baloo and King Louis and Pocahontas, whose line was almost always the longest). But I made the mistake of thinking that my trash run (which I started at 7:40pm, about 10 minutes late according to the schedule) wouldn't take too long and I ended up working through my lunch break, and when I finished my trash run at 9pm (a half-hour before my shift ended). So I just wolfed down my "dinner" of two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in around 5-10 minutes and then did a quick walkthrough of the area before my shift ended.

That night, my brother and his girlfriend (and the girls) stayed over with my brother's ex-girlfriend and her grandparents so I got to sleep in the bed in lieu of the two-seat couch (which folds out into a bed but there's no room).

Christmas Day came and went. Basically, only the kids (my two nieces, my stepniece (my brother and his girlfriend still aren't married) and my brother's ex-girlfriend's daughter (whose father may or may not be my uncle's illegitimate son) to be precise) got presents this year. The two oldest girls each got ridable motorized cars (my stepniece's car is pink and cover in Disney Princess decals), and the two youngest (each about a year old) each got a little non-motorized push car with a Little Mermaid theme.

Today I got to work and they didn't have a shift for me so they told me to just sweep Oasis (just like Monday, but the whole area) and check the recycling bins. Thankfully today, just like tomorrow will be and Sunday was, was only 6 hours (Monday and Tuesday were 7 1/2 hours).

:D Scored some shifts for next week, totally 29 hours (not counting the fact that three of those days are long enough to warrant a half-hour lunch break), with two at Animal Kingdom and the other two at Hollywood Studios.

 So effin pissed that I missed out on (possibly) getting Left 4 Dead 2 for free...

 But then again it'd require more hard-drive space than I have (gotta move some shit to my external hard drive), more time than I have to download it (considering how long it took me to DL some of the games I got from the Humble Jumbo Bundle), and a computer far more powerful than the one I have.

is that paid vacation? Or at least part of it.
2 weeks are officially vacation, the other 2 weeks are shift exchanges. So I'm getting paid for all 4 weeks.

There is just so much greatness there. Any commentary directed at a single portion would be an injustice. A flawless post.

Smile: Seth and James at their best:

^How did I not know about this earlier?

Smile: Last "Christmas" Party tonight. I'm making standing rib roast, baked potatoes, and steamed callaloo.

One more Smile: Last night I was chatting it up with one of many friends that I have kept in touch with since middle school. He gave me a bit of a backhanded compliment and this isn't word for word (but close) but he said "Well Luke, for someone so cocksure you are the most humble friend I have. I admire you for the fact that you worked so hard for your success, but you just about overdo everything. You and your wife are a near perfect match, as you don't deserve her, and she doesn't deserve having to put up with you. And at many times your personality rubs me the wrong way, but I love you* because of your personality".

Frown: During the same conversation he asked "How do you wear a tie bar?". He's thirty-five years old. Duder should know how to sport one by now.

*Since I was a tike I've always told my close friends that I love 'em. Not only are my friends used to it, at the end of a phone conversation or chat I usually get a "I love you too buddy". Hey, life is short, so let people know you care.

That's the actual song, right? I don't see how this came from the album of the year.

you REALLY need to hear that song in the context of the album. It's the last song on the album, and sounds NOTHING like everything before it. It's the only "soul sample" you'll hear on YEEZUS and is really jarring. Which I think is kind of the point. The one little nugget of "old Kanye" soul samples sticks out like a sore thumb on an album of really ugly beats. And then there's the fact that it's a "love song," yet you've got lines like "I don't remember when we first met," or "did you ever ask your bitch for more bitches?"... but but BUT maybe the most telling thing is that it ends with the line "Jerome's in the house, watch ya mouth" which could be a wink at the listener that this whole hour-long fiasco was knowingly portrayed by a ridiculous character.

Okay. Thanks for not taking that the wrong way. :)

I've never really bought an album in that genre, but maybe if it's cheap I'll pick it up and give it a listen.
