Where to start writting code for original Xbox?

Like the title says?

I've been lurking around xbox-scene and I cant seem to see any info on where to get a compiler and how to begin writting code for my newly modded xbox.

well for stsrters you will need another xbox and get a hold of the xdk.you want be able to compile anything without this.

Right, I see, so the code will have to be compiled on the xbox itself fair enough. The first link states that it IS possible to still play games and whatever even with the debugger installed, which is pretty cool.

Thanks for your pointers:D :D

My next question is, do you know of any guides/sample programs that show how to do some basic stuff on the xbox?
I am a programmer so I just a few examples of drawing things on the screen and polling the controller will be good to get me going I reckon.
