Its a nice system but i really feel that i lacks good games. Its much easier finding good games for the Megadrive and Snes that it is for the TG16/PCE. Im not saying its a bad system, its just tough finding many good games.

Numbers game, man. PCE had 300ish games released, many of them were never localized for the US. Genesis/Mega Drive had closer to 1000 and SNES had 700ish in the US alone (couldn't find a worldwide release # in my 30 seconds of googling and didn't feel like counting that Wiki list).

When the total release catalog is ~1/2 to 1/3, there will be fewer "good games"... unless you're REALLY lucky. But assuming most consoles have a similar ratio of good games to filler games, it's logical that there will be fewer.

Especially, like everyone's said, if you don't like shmups on a console that's very Japanese :D
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

There's a great port of Buster Bros on the Turbo and a great port of Bonanza Bros for the PC Engine and their both in the 20-30 dollar range. If you're a pinball guy then Alien Crush and Devil's Crush are musts, but a complete copy of Devil's Crush could cost you $60+.

OP asked for exclusives though. Buster Bros. is also on PS1 and SNES.

Does the exclusive rule come into effect if the only other version is for a console that's a generation behind? If not, I suggest Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu. :D

May I introduce your face to the back of my hand, please and thank you.

I really don't like raising awareness about more obscure games, but some recommendations I would give:

Akumajou Dracula X
Alien Crush
Aoi Blink
Appare! Gateball (admittedly, I would only want it as a fan of Westone)
Be Ball (forgot what it's called on the -grafx)
Cyber Knight
Doraemon: Meikyuu Daisakusen
Dungeon Explorer
Dungeon Explorer II
Exile
Eternal City
Final Lap Twin
Fushigi no Yume no Alice
Gekisha Boy
Genji Tsushin Agedama
Genpei Toumaden
Genpei Toumaden - Maki no Ni (Samurai Ghost)
Jacky Chan Action Kung Fu
Jigoku Meguri
Kaizou Chounin Shubibinman
Kaizou Chounin Shubibinman 2 (Shockman)
Kiki Kaikai
Legendary Axe
Legendary Axe II
Legend of Hero Tonma
Makai Prince Dora-bocchan
Marchen Maze
Military Madness
Neutopia
Neutopia II
Ninja Spirit
Parasol Stars
PC Genjin (Bonk) 1, 2, 3
Shiryou Sensen
Son Son II
Splatterhouse
Takahashi Meijin no Shin Boukenjima (New Adventure Island)
Time Cruise (II)
Tora e no Michi (Tiger Road)
Valkyrie no Densetsu
Victory Run
Vigilante
Volfied
Wonder Momo

Also, I would be happy to recycle that Duo-R for you. I'm sure it's not worth holding on to.
