Re: What's the rarest game you own?
I'm here for a few minutes at least. (The kids are asleep, and I am exhausted...)
On topic...I have about 2/3 of a complete Arcadia 2001 set. Judging by the difficulty I am having acquiring the remaining 1/3, I suspect that those are the rarest games in my collection.

It's a very unusual game. It looks and plays like your typical 16-bit JRPG. But it's a DOS PC game, not a console game. In America, at least. There are eroge (erotic) elements so sales were restricted to adults and I'm guessing the print run was very low.
It's also a really, really good game. Not on par with something like Chrono Trigger, but as good as, say, Breath of Fire II or Lufia II.
And yeah - I have a ton of my wife's relatives over. You could say I'm in hiding.

That sounds interesting - who doesn't like a little porn with their JRPGs? My family function ended about an hour ago, so it's back to the usual routine for me. Putting the game on par with Lufia or BoF makes me want to check it out!BoneSnapDeez wrote:It's a very unusual game. It looks and plays like your typical 16-bit JRPG. I caved and bought it disc-only. I've never seen a complete copy - online or otherwise.
If you want to go digital, it's free on many different abandonware sites.

There was a store here in Houston that had it and the fighting game also put out by Megatech back in the day. Looked at the boxed for them a few times, but never bought it.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I just picked up Knights of Xentar (US localization of Dragon Knight III).
Amazing game. And it actually seems to be quite rare.
One copy on eBay. Two copies on Amazon.
No one else on RFGen has it - I had to add it to the database before I added it to my collection page.
Anyone else ever play this? You should.

If you're not picking this up, care to share where it could be, and how much?Hobie-wan wrote:There was a store here in Houston that had it and the fighting game also put out by Megatech back in the day. "Back in the day", as in the early 90s. The store is long gone.JoeAwesome wrote:If you're not picking this up, care to share where it could be, and how much?Hobie-wan wrote: There was a store here in Houston that had it and the fighting game also put out by Megatech back in the day. Is anyone interested in a mint, sealed, autographed, 100+ VGA-graded copy of Ballz 3-D?
