Game Sack - Homebrews, Demos & Hacks
Re: Game Sack - Homebrews, Demos & Hacks
My favorites for NES/Famicom:
Blade Buster - A caravan shooting game in the style of Super Star Soldier. Only 2 and 5 minute modes are available.
Streemerz - There was a project remaking the horrible Action 52 games into less crappy ones and some cases, like this one, even ended up pretty good. This remake was later ported back to the NES, making a nice full circle of the whole thing.
I have both of those as Famicom repro carts. I also have and really like the SMB2j repro cart RetroUSB did, no need to deal with the finicky FDS hardware. It also has some added features like stage select. Sadly, it's been discontinued.

This is indeed fun. I'm pretty sure it is a hack of Recca.Ghegs wrote:Blade Buster - A caravan shooting game in the style of Super Star Soldier. Only 2 and 5 minute modes are available.
That B&W music video reminds me of the Red Zone intro. I imagine it is using a similar technique.
I've never met a pun I didn't like. - Stark
