Hmm, I thought it was announced much earlier than it actually was (last September). No worries then.AppleQueso wrote:Is it? I mean I know there hasn't been much news, but I haven't heard anything along the lines of difficulties or delays happening.dsheinem wrote: Yeah, I am interested in Bayonetta 2 but that is clearly in development hell at this point, which makes me nervous for its quality when released (i found the first Bayonetta a pale shadow of the games that informed it). Still, maybe if that one gets strong reviews I'll come around...
If there's no new news about it come e3 then I'd start worrying.

A friend of mine brought his Wii U , and we played Wii Party U . Finally something different and worthwhile on the Wii U. Its much better than Mario Party we tried on Wii years ago, that was so disappointing...

I've been playing NES Remix pretty much all day. It's awesome, and really addictive.
On the other hand, Link needs to stick to what he knows - he's bloody awful at Donkey Kong.
Random side note - this is now the second time Link has done a Jumpman impression - a link up feature of Oracle of Ages had him mimicking him as he climbed a tower to save Zelda.

I have been playing NES Remix as well, when it steps up and becomes a bit harder, having to wait after the reset is a pain in the ass and adds to frustration, it should just be like meat boy, you die, the level instantly spawns you to the start, I don't want to watch this ready, set, go crap.
Another slightly annoying thing is the button layout for Mario throws me off. Now they have mapped it the same as they have for the NES controller. B = ACTION/RUN, A = Jump, however like the SNES controller, they are not side by side and thus, annoying as hell. Why the option for the more natural, and used in the past by Nintendo Y=ACTION/RUN and B = Jump was not used I have no idea, but I wish the option was there to change between.
Sure you all know what I mean, but just so you can see the difference.

I definitely agree on the mario controls, although that layout is a little more comfy on the Wii U gamepad than it is on the 3DS (thats the button layout for Mario Land on 3DS VC too).emwearz wrote:I have been playing NES Remix as well, when it steps up and becomes a bit harder, having to wait after the reset is a pain in the ass and adds to frustration, it should just be like meat boy, you die, the level instantly spawns you to the start, I don't want to watch this ready, set, go crap.

You say this as though "Nintendo IPs" isn't some of the most consistently fun games of the past 20+ yearsdsheinem wrote:Other than Nintendo IPs and ports of games for other current consoles, what's coming?
I dunno, for me at least Nintendo IPs is worth the price of admission alone, every time.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
So after playing some Wii U Party , I think Nintendo made a grave mistake with those multiple controllers. We were so confused switching between wiimotes and the gamepad . Sometimes to start the game you need to touch the screen on the gamepad . Other times, its the back button on the Wiimote. Sometimes you have to shake the gamepad. We tried to Sync a Wiimote to the Wii U but we kept switching to Sync-ing the gamepad .
Not sure if Wii U Party was designed in a bad way as a game, or this is how all Wii U games work.

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Eh? Had no issues switching controllers playing Nintendo Land when the system came out. I think you're just trying to have issues with the Wii U.
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Actually, it has been mentioned in several places that Wii Party U does indeed have a confusing control scheme in regard to rolling dice and changing controllers.
