On a completely unrelated set of food, out here we have a ton of pho places. There's one by my old office that's the most amazing thing I've ever tried, and every place I've been to since then has been a let down. By my new office I've found one that comes the closest I've ever seen, and it's definitely good enough that I'll make it part of my regular lunch rotation.Stark wrote:As MrPopo stated, we actually do have several hole in the wall places up here now that are quite good, especially if you go to the East of the state where the latino population is even higher than here.

Yeah we have a bunch of pho places in Houston as well. We have a hood sized Vietnamese population. San Antonio hardly has any.

Pho? But anything Asain food wise is on the low end around here. Mostly buffet places and such, all nasty and unclean and all.Jmustang1968 wrote:Yeah we have a bunch of pho places in Houston as well. We have a hood sized Vietnamese population. San Antonio hardly has any.

Pho is a viet noodle soup. Houston has some great asian restaurants. SA area doesnt have much of an asian population. I didnt try pho til I moved to Houston.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Pho? The amazing place is International District, 7th S and Jackson, Pho Bac.
The place by my new office that's decent is Issaquah Pho, which is probably a little out of the way for you.

Smile: So, so many things. My parents arrived this afternoon with a few early gifts that blew my mind. I don't even know where to begin.

This my friends will be one for the record.
