My megadrive deal

Post by Tercoil »

Today i bought a megadrive from someone i know from school, he sold it to me for $40AUD with all the connectors 1 controller and 6 games.

There were two major reasons i was buying it, 1) it was one of the very first models with the "high definition graphics" logo... these (if you didn't know) are straight out of the box region free (although not 100% compatible)

2) The original box was included although all the packaging was gone i still thought this significantly increased its value.

Well he also told me there were 6 games included, he didnt tell me what they were and i didn't ask and i assumed that they would just be cartridges... when i got home i opened the box to see 6 complete games with manuals and everything and all working perfectly! Also included was a complete and quite mint looking copy of Thunderforce 2... and this fetches a fair price on ebay i have found (about 30 USD buy it now).

I believe i got myself quite a good deal, it would have cost me more to buy 1 copy of thunderforce 2 (complete) than i payed for the entire system.

well i was happy so i thought id share my excitement, now back to thunderforce!

The problem with that advice is that the "quit it" portion of the process becomes much more complicated after the "hit it" maneuver has been completed. Much easier to "quit it" before all else.

Good find!

Now all you need is a model 1 Mega/Sega CD to go with it. The model 2 will work with it just fine but it looks kind of funny sitting next to that big Model 1 Mega Drive. ;) Maybe get a 32X to go with it as well... :?:
