Occulus Rift has potential, I will try it and make a determination. I mostly loathe the VB

I'm not a mod, but nice of you to slag them all anyway. Simply put: hoping that something people might like will fail just because you think it is dumb and for some reason have something against a former EA guy is assholish.Hazerd wrote:Like your opinion matters anymore than mine. most the mods here seem pretty "dickwaggery" like they know it all.dsheinem wrote:
^ Good illustration of that "internet dickwaggery" that was just mentioned...

Well you are very lucky in this respect. I lose power every 10 days or so this time of year. In fact, I anticipate that I'll lose it within a few hours so my PSP is charging.Luke wrote: Although it hasn't happened in what seems like years, when my power goes out due to weather, the VB provides me with all types of fun.

I've just started on New Super Mario Bros U since I'm pretty close to being done with 3D World and wanted to poke around in some other games I've picked up lately.
I don't feel like this gets mentioned often with this series, but I keep playing it and constantly feel reminded of Yoshi's Island. Mainly in the way the mechanics work (that kinda floaty feel) and how the levels are designed. Like if Nintendo had continued making 2D Marios regularly after Yoshi's Island instead of making the jump to 3D, they'd probably have played something like this anyway.
I've never played any other games in the NSMB series, but NSMBU feels to me like an appropriate follow-up to the 8 and 16-bit games. I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I enjoyed it quite a lot. Part of what helped me get through it was it was a good sequel to SMW and I was able to play it on the controller. I just picked up Luigi U for super cheap, so I'm hoping to play that soon.AppleQueso wrote:I've never played any other games in the NSMB series, but NSMBU feels to me like an appropriate follow-up to the 8 and 16-bit games. I got the bundle that included both games when I bought my Wii U. It's kinda overwhelming just how much STUFF is here.Stark wrote:I enjoyed it quite a lot. They're going to alleviate some of the grinding for the iOS release of FF VI. Maybe I'll beat it this time!

There isn't that much grinding in FFVI.
Think I need to buy a Wii U soon. This console just keeps getting better and better.
