My parents are visiting and will be departing on the 26th. I'm really excited as they're nothing but fun.

But by "relatives" I doubt you mean your parents.
Yeah - in-laws and some random relatives of said in-laws...

I find the lot of them to be quite irritating. Though I'm mostly concerned about my daughter. She has a lot of anxiety and does best on a regimented schedule. Strangers stress her out and then her whole day goes down the tubes. She was up all night crying. :?

My grandmother has the perfect solution to your problem, Bone.

Whenever the family comes to visit her, there's lots of chores to do. Leaves need to get raked; gutters need to be cleared; walls need to be painted; something broken needs to be fixed; dishes need to be washed; floors need to be swept.

Somehow we never seem to stay more than four or five days. Go figure.

Smile: Sometimes I feel like the big guy is looking out for me.

For some odd reason I thought a Hobby Lobby opened up in my city. Nope. Turns out it's an AC Moore, which doesn't have the gift I had planned on buying for my Mother. I totally pulled a boner by waiting to the last minute.

I open up the "junk drawer" (we all have one in our kitchen don't we?) and lo and behold there is a coupon for Jo-Ann's fabrics, face up as if it was staring at me. I called my local Jo-Anns, and sure enough they have not only jelly roll strips, but jelly roll quilt books as well. Plus, they're running a 50% off total purchase, so it is a win win.

Also called my local shop to see if a friend of mine had anything in his folder (for those who don't purchase comics, "local shop" = comic book store, and "folder" = a hold list). Turns out he has both a Jay and Silent Bob action figure(s) on hold that I'll pick up for him today. I won't be able to get them signed until 2014, but I should be able to manage getting K.S to sign both action figure boxes.

Woo-hoo!

Bought a sixteen pound fresh Turkey for only $10.00usd. With a kind smile I told the meat manager, "This is advertised as fresh, *thumps turkey* but this isn't close to being fully thawed. Anyway you could sell this to me at the frozen price?". That saved me around twenty bucks. I also had a coupon for Butterball Premium turkeys, and an in-store coupon, so I paid a little over sixty cents a pound.

Not too shabby.
