That sucks. I quite liked it. Granted, since I'm not very knowledgeable of Anime there could be shit that's way better.AppleQueso wrote:I tried to get into Silent Mobius but it just didn't do anything for me.
Pretty much. The last volume of the manga was published after the anime was concluded. So I'm guessing in order to avoid an X like ending, the anime just came to a screeching halt. The fact that the anime basically has no ending makes me feel a bit better for not watching it to the end.
Thanks for the effort, but Silent Mobius Klein was a prequel manga while Tales was the sequel. Downloaded it anyway.flojocabron wrote: Here's something buddy. Not sure if the link will work well, but you may have to sign up to download stuff.

Funny you bring this up since I'm watching Silent Mobius now (after being interested for years, just finally getting to it).GSZX1337 wrote:I'm not sure if this request is kosher, but I'm not really sure where else to post this.
I'm not really into anime, but one that I really liked is Silent Mobius. My main problem with the anime is its ending. It ends right before the final battle. I read later that there was a sequel manga (Silent Mobius Tales) that went untranslated. Apparently, this manga was supposed to be translated in Udon's release of the Silent Mobius manga. Unfortunately, Udon hasn't finished their release and haven't even touched the series for about two years.
Now, here's my request: Since Udon's not likely to translate Tales, does anyone here know if a scanlation is available? I've searched around and couldn't find one. Then again, I don't really know where to look. Also, I've read a bit on a third Silent Mobius movie. To my knowledge, there were two OVAs in the early nineties. I've never heard about a third film until a little bit ago. Apparently, this film takes place after the events of the anime. So does anyone know if what I've recently read is true and if I can somehow acquire this film?
Thanks to anyone who can help,

That's a cool coincidence.Xeogred wrote: Funny you bring this up since I'm watching Silent Mobius now (after being interested for years, just finally getting to it).
If it either has a Blade Runner like setting or a combination of Science Fiction and Supernatural Entities I'd probably like it. It's on Netflix so after X-Mas I'll give it a watch. To me it reminds me mostly of Bubblegum Crisis 2040, check that one out if you haven't.
Yeah, the Silent Mobius films (with the exception of this supposed third film) were released when anime was just starting to penetrate the US. Because of this, I'd imagine a lot of guys watched the films as curiosities.I watched the Silent Mobius movies prior to the series though, since they released years earlier.
I pirated the films a long time ago and had a similar reaction. I liked the way they looked, but couldn't really follow them. Then again, I was only 14 so my head was probably up my ass at the time. They had good visuals but that's just about all they did for me, I couldn't figure anything else out.
As I understand it, they don't really tie into the anime series as they're more of another adaptation.Maybe I'll revisit them after the series if they tie in like that.
I only found out about this film from some random Googling. The first page I found it on was the Talk section on the series' Wikipedia page. I've seen some other pages mentioning the film, but it's still likely that the guy on the Talk page was talking out of his ass.I don't think there's a third one though, but I could be wrong.
I just signed up for the tracker and see the films, but it looks like I'm going to have to wait another week to see if there was anything else related to the series uploaded in the past six months. You can find them here:

I thought that was a pretty cool show, but I only saw a handful of episodes.General_Norris wrote:Some years ago I saw Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei which I didn't like too much but was somewhat fun.
Well, today I read the ending and now those weird anime openings make sense and many small "weird" details have been revealed are foreshadowing.
I'm kind of amazed by this, just wow.
