^ I agree with everything else you just said.

Except the part about Mysterio never having been a star. WHAT?! He pretty much headlined Smackdown opposite of Cena headlining Raw for YEARS. And even way back in WCW he was hitting it bigger than any other non-heavyweight, like becoming "The Giant Killer" and taking down Kevin Nash and being the leader of the Filthy Animal.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just hard to remember him headlining Smackdown when I see how little he's doing now. I don't think he ever became as big a star as guys like Orton, Batista or Cena though. He was always limited by a certain lack of charisma, as well as his size (which isn't really his fault obviously). When I look at Mysterio I think of a guy like Jeff Hardy, and I don't think he was ever quite as popular as Hardy even at the peak of his career, but I could be wrong.

I can't speak to what he did in WCW. You're more a WCW expert than me so I'll take your word for it.

I am not sure about Bryan , but CM Punk is at best upper mid-card. He only is getting a chance because there is almost no competition. Put it this way, if we were in '97 and we have Hogan, Flair, Macho Man, Austin, Bret, Sting, Michaels, Undertaker and the rest... do you really see CM Punk in the main event of Wrestlemania?

+1

But the 90s had so much talent, we'll probably never get so lucky again.

Is fantasy wrestling still a thing? I remember doing all those "flash" emails and reading PPVs :lol:

@GamerForLife

Maybe you are giving CM Punk much more credit than he deserves... just saying

Because Punk is bringing in the same numbers as an Austin, Hogan, or Goldberg...oh wait.

Brock Lesnar looks a lot like Sloth from THE GOONIES.

That's a compliment.

So apparently A.J. Styles is signing a deal with ROH.

That means when A.J. Styles left TNA, with the TNA Championship, and defended it around world in places like AAA in Mexico and New Japan; he did all that FOR REAL! That is so freaking bad-ass! Nobody has done that since Flair left to WWF with the WCW Title in the early 90s. A.J. Styles is officially the biggest bad-ass in wrestling! Yeah Punk did it already, but that was all a set-up for a storyline. If A.J. Styles is signing to ROH, it's not a storyline, and that's just crazy.

Meh, nevermind. The report has to be false. Styles is on Impact, tonight.
