Bump for the newly announced character: Rosalina.

Sakurai's really going out of his way with unlikely characters isn't he? I mean I think it says something that out of the new characters so far, Mega Man's the least suprising addition.

Gotta disagree. The Villager was pretty much a shoe in as far as I'm concerned.
I'm a little concerned that we got another Mario character as I'd like to see more obscure Nintendo series represented, but the gameplay footage we got of Rosalina looked great, she seems like a really fun character to use. Looking forward to comboing it up with her and Luma.

*sigh*
This is cool, I like Rosalina, but between this and 3d World, it seems there's just no hope for Princess Daisy.

My all-time dream character for SSB. Seriously if they include this guy, I'm all in.

Yeah I'm sure Daisy probably won't make it. As for Rosalina though I'm not too surprised due to the fact that she'd be a brand new addition to the game and she seems to be relatively popular and can have a unique moveset.
Even the horses are cut in half......

I know this will never happen, but I wish Nintendo would make the flying characters unable to fly. It seriously affects the balance of the game when two or three characters can fly but the rest cannot.

None of the characters can fly without end in Smash Bros. Most characters with more jumps are slower in the air than the other characters, the characters who can glide can't really go upwards with that move, and the characters who can 'fly' with their recovery move (read: Pit) can't attack during it, are fairly slow and have limited time to do so.
I can understand people saying Smash has some balance issues, but flying is really not one of them.

You don't think that Kirby and Meta-Knight have a distinct advantage because of their flight? We'll have to agree to disagree on that point.
I think it would be cool if the 3DS version of SSB utilized environments from puzzle games like Meteos or Picross wherein the fighters must avoid falling blocks during battle.
