Howdy fellas…

Image

I discovered late last night that the regular 3DS was on sale for $130 here. I managed to find an OG system with the charging cradle in the colour I wanted.

I also snagged A Link Between Worlds. EB Games has a deal where you get it for free when trading in any game worth at least $17, so I traded in Assassin's Creed IV.

I've updated it, charged it, and am taking it out with me as I shop around for more deals. Maybe I'll get a hit on street pass.

Some potentially boring details follow…
I first searched for a black model, and finally found one at Target. I get it home, open it, and was immediately disappointed. I was expecting solid gloss black like the Wii U gamepad. I then recall my daughter saying she would pick it in red if she were to buy one, so I went out and found this red model. Immediately upon opening, I was impressed. The colour is perfect and it looks great.

Nice pick-up! I need to get some space from beating it, but I think Link Between Worlds may be my second favorite Zelda game ever.

RE: Bravely Default, I might be on board. Just watched a video for it.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Free copy of Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on 3DS for those who link their NNID or create one between Dec 10th and Jan 1st.

I just linked. I'll have to search for details on that deal.

Has a marker on the video where details start on the deal. Hopefully it is in Australia.

Thanks. I guess we wait until next year for the download code.

I just picked up Animal Crossing as a gift to myself. I am literally going to wrap it and put it under the tree for Christmas.

I also snagged Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

Got my copy of Link Between Worlds in the mail today, don't know when I'll have time to play it, but I look forward to it

I'm REALLY pumped about Bravely Default, just because it's said to be Final Fantasy-inspired, but still kind of fresh in its approach. Any game that's Final Fantasy inspired and portable gets me excited

Not sure if it applies to Canada, but Target has had 3DS XL's on sale for 149.99 all week...

Yes, the XL has been $150 at various stores for weeks. I don't want the XL.

I am kinda with ya here and prefer the original ones too. Well I was comparing an DS to a DS XL at the time but figured it was about the same.
