I am planning to wait for all the Hobbit movies to be released, then I will watch the whole movie series up until the last LOTR film, am I doing this right?GazongaJoe wrote:Fragems wrote:How was it?GazongaJoe wrote:The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
It was good. An enjoyable 3 hours. This was the first book I've read where I watched the movie later and they added a lot of stuff as they do in most book based movies from what I hear. But it's a fun and entertaining watch alltogether. If you're a Hobbit and/or Lord of the rings fan then check it out. Just don't go in expecting LOTR tier stuff like I did though.
What was the last movie you've seen?

I think the only one I've seen off of that is Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters...and their closing sentence is getting more to the point of it. It's not a good movie, but, it didn't seem like anyone involved was taking it entirely seriously either. Kinda like a Snakes on a Plane deal.

I never even heard of "The Canyons". Looks like I didn't miss much.
Now where are the best movies of 2013?

Seriously, you need a long attention span to sit through all those movies without falling asleep. I would break up the movie viewing across a week. Just watch one movie per night for six nights, then take a day to rest.

Not sure, but I know SIDE EFFECTS and BEFORE MIDNIGHT would be on my list. DESPICABLE ME 2 too.samsonlonghair wrote: Now where are the best movies of 2013?
I'll keep a rank of the movies next year as I see way too movies to list them off the top of my head.

When the extended edition of Return of the King came out we did a marathon of all three extended editions (it was during finals week but no one had any finals that day). It took the whole day, but it was awesome. We broke in between TTT and RotK for dinner.samsonlonghair wrote:Only if you have eighteen hours to kill.RCBH928 wrote:I am planning to wait for all the Hobbit movies to be released, then I will watch the whole movie series up until the last LOTR film, am I doing this right?

Dude, I have a hard time sitting through fellowship without falling asleep. There's no way I could watch all three movies at once.

I did it not too long after the blu ray box set came out. Did it over a day and a half. Was a great experience. First time I watched them so close together.

The director's cuts for the Hobbit Trilogy will probably be around twenty hours. No thanks.
I've watched the LOTR trilogy (director's cuts) in one day, and it is a laboring experience. It's for hardcore fans if you ask me. Great movies, but just too much time on the couch.
Now "marathoning" the Star Wars trilogy is something I could do at any give day.

Hobbit 2 was all over the place. I really wish they had not added in Legolas into the story at all, let alone adding in new girl. But it was fun.
