Yes Lawrence is probably his best work. He did everything though, one of my favorite romantic comedies is How to Steal a Million.dsheinem wrote:A great actor, best know for his role in Lawrence of Arabia. My first thought on hearing the news was a sad "Goodbye Mr. Chips".Stark wrote:Just found out Peter O'Toole died yesterday.
I was speaking with my buddy Brandon yesterday and when I asked "Did you hear that Peter O'Toole died?" he replies with, "Yeah. He's that guy from ISHTAR, isn't he?".
Sad.
Funny, but sad.
Frown: My Playstation copy of The Amazing Spider-Man looks like she's a goner. I still have it for the PC, but I hate having to toss a game.

I'm missing enormous amounts of context here.GazongaJoe wrote:- Turnip carriage arrived after months of waiting.

I can say that a google image search for "Turnip Carriage" is odd whimsical fun.

Sir, are you suffering from cabin fever, or has your winter grain supply given you St. Anthony's Fire?GazongaJoe wrote:- Turnip carriage arrived after months of waiting.

That is the painting Turnip Cart from Dinotopia Journey to Chandara. It was one of the very few James Gurney originals sold in 2012 at auction in France. If I remember correctly it went for over 100k.samsonlonghair wrote:I can say that a google image search for "Turnip Carriage" is odd whimsical fun.

I HIGHLY recommend the first two Dinotopia books to anyone with a sense of wonder in their reading. They are classics for young and old. Granted I am a bit of a fan...a large framed version of this will be hanging in my library in two weeks:

I own several of his prints but my favorite, Morning in Treetown, is never in a price range I can justify. The only one that pops up ebay is mislabeled and $300. James Gurney has only sold the originals once, and only a dozen of his Dinotopia works. He is one of the worlds best prehistoric animal artists.
