My friend got flagged for music videos that he put up on his channel of bands that he manages. The situation is out of hand right now, and I know he's just one of many dealing with this crap.

There have actually been cases of scams being ran where people abuse the copyright system on youtube to go after videos that they don't actually own the copyright to.

Not like I agree with what you said since I like reviewers but I have to say that this forum is horrible if you happen to have an opinion that differs from the "norm"

There are many contrarians on this forum including myself and I've never had anyone jump on my throat, the reason people react poorly to your posts is that, well, you come across as a dick.

You can argue that the DS is a bad console. That's fair, if extremely debatable. To claim that playing on one "isn't really gaming" is a dick move and dishing the Wii U when you have never played will make people think worse of you. That's a fact, and the onus is on you to come across as a reasonable person.

I've argued that game criticism is awful, that JRPGs are severly flawed, that the SNES has a poor library, that Toe Jam & Earl is terrible, that Hal Life 2 has terrible pacing and Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines is practically unfinished and that any Tetris post-Worlds is broken and I haven't been attacked.

You should really consider that going against the grain requires an extra dose of carefulness. If you know that your opinion is controversial, try to come across better instead of bludgeoning people with it.

Saying I come across as a dick is really stupid. I know it can kind of be for both sexes but originally wasn't that insult for oh idk...men? Off topic but yeah..

Anyways...just because I don't put my opinion nicely doesn't mean i'm trying to be a dick...it means I state what I think, in the way I want to because it's my opinion and my choice. I still think compaired to the Gameboys that the DS is still...kinda shit. It's filled with crappy kids games and shovelware, same goes for the Wii and Wii U. Why I said something along the lines of playing on the DS isn't really gaming is because, A. Mostly kids have the DS (at least around here), B. It's so simple my 3 year old cousin figured out how to play one (which reminds me of those stupid leapfrog or leappads they give kids these days), C. Filthy Casuals play the hell out of the DS (And Wii...and Wii U). These "consoles" were and are aimed at kids, familys, older people. If that doesn't scream Filthy Casuals idk what does.

But that's besides the point I was trying to make. No matter how I or anyone states their opinion on this forum, NO one should attack them the way that I was attacked. I remember being attacked on this forum so badly that I was very close to just leaving the forum. I even went so far as to start blocking people. You might not have been attacked by stating your opinion because you made it "friendly", but I don't sugar coat my opinions. I speak my mind. But what kind of forum attacks someone for speaking their minds?

edit: not trying to "attack" anyone, but those reasons for not playing the DS/Wii/Wii U sound more like reasons why it's not good for going for a "mature elite hardcore gamer" image versus the actual games that happen to not be shovelware on it. More complex to play that 3 year olds can't figure out = better games. Sounds like you're not looking hard enough for the type of games you happen to enjoy on the platforms before writing them off entirely, which I think people take personally for some reason.
