were the PS2 & Xbox versions released in EU only? they got a bunch of weird budget-ish PC ports (Neighbours From Hell, 7 Sins, Michigan) that the US didn't get.

So while hunting for the rare/hard to find Wii games I picked up a Wii game called New U Mind Body: Yoga & Pilates Workout of only three in the NYC area for $9.00. They seem to be selling around $40-$50 used and $90 sealed. Seems like some sort of workout game for the fitness board. I got this solely because it's rare and being a Deep Silver title that makes sense for low print runs. Along with that I got Fritz Chess again from Deep Silver for $40 and thats a bit higher than I wanted to pay but ehh. Fritz Chess was only released in select cities so I guess that helps add to the "hard to find" factor.

I was browsing the games and found a PC game from 2003 called Ghost Master.

Apparently the game was released on PS2 and Xbox as well, and has since appeared on GOG and Steam with extra content. Weird. I can't believe I've never heard of this. Got the PC copy for $2.

Looks interesting; Sims meets Ghostbusters? Never heard of it or even seen it anywhere. Maybe it was a Euro only release on the PS2?

Odyssey 2 Games - $3.00 2.50 each Thrift Store
I picked up some pristine boxed Odyssey 2 games. Asked if I could get a discount since I was buying them all. Don't even own the console, but nice to get some early games in the era of the 2600.

Speaking of the Atari, if I can get one other handle cartridge. :?
(For the very few that do not know, Right Click for the name)

All the Odyssey games below are in original shiny boxes and CIB including crisp manuals except for the Computer Intro cart. Of all carts, this one was missing the manual, probably taken out a few times figuring out how to work the cart. Sadly no KC Munchkin or Pick Axe Pete, the two better reputed games.

The red china marker handwritten prices are easily wiped off with Lift Off 2. Even more amazing is the Thrift Store packaging tape easily peeled off the boxes without leaving any gummy mess or tearing the cardboard. Man, they built packaging more durable back in the day! However, I still have to peel off older scotch "Magic Tape" off a couple of the boxes, gaaaah I hate that brittle stuff. Anyone who uses magic tape should be tied to an ant hill. :x

I suspect BoneSnapDeez might be eyeing these, the OCD in me says to hang on to them though. Maybe one day find the console on the cheap.

You picked up some nice PS1 titles. I'm going to send you a PM. I'm interested in that Parasite Eve.

Not a whole lot on the side of quality for me today.

$1 Intellivision games:
Lock 'N' Chase (w/manual)
Pitfall (w/overlays & manual)
Night Stalker (w/overlays & manual)
Astro Smash

I'm still on the lookout for an Intellevision but I can't really pass up boxed games for $1. It's a terrible sickness.

Virtua Tennis - Dreamcast $1 (CIB)
Brain Age 2 - DS (sealed) $6
Spongbob Squarepants: The Movie - Gamecube $3 (no manual)

Genesis games:
Judge Dread (sealed) $2
Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition (CIB but damaged cover art) $2

N64 Controller $8 (regret this one; not a bad price but not great either)

Also, I finally found myself a handy-dandy TV stand that doesn't look like sh*t and at a good price from Goodwill -$25. I had been looking for a good one at a decent price for months but thrift stores around here routinely sell crap furniture for outrageous prices.

"Oh great, another box of useless sh*t."

Main Collection: http://connect.collectorz.com/users/ynj ... collection - Not looking to move anything on this list but would entertain offers.

Was in target today and was checking the clearance section in electronics, and found Ride to Hell: retribution for 5 bucks. I couldn't pass up on what is supposed to be one of the worst games ever for such a cheap price. Pretty sad that a game released 6 months ago has already hit such lows.

It's been a while, but I finally found some stuff this week. Joy.

I walked into my favorite thrift store on Thursday not really expecting anything and moseyed on to the back to look through their loose cords for any spare AV cables. As I was digging through I noticed several NES, SNES and N64 connector cables. This happens quite frequently (And I mean finding connector cables and nothing else) and none of them were composite cables, so I left them there. But hoping against hope I checked out the other stuff they keep in the back and found an N64 controller with a good joystick, two NES controllers and a Hudson SNES multi-tap.

I didn't find any games anywhere in the rest of the store so I made my way up to the front only to find, "Ah. There are all the games." piled up in little stacks next to the cashier while he figured out where to put them. I was more than happy to help him sort through the N64 and SNES carts and of course, found a couple of things :)

Image

N64 controller - $1
NES controller - $0.50 each
Multi-tap - $0.75

Games - $1.50 each
Killer Instinct
Mortal Kombat II
GP-1 (It's an Atlus game)
Street Fighter II
Street Fighter II Turbo
UN Squadron
Mystic Quest
Super Mario All Stars
Cruis'n World

They also had the systems behind the counter, but none of them had their power supplies and I didn't feel like piecing things together. There were no NES games except the copy of Super Mario Bros. that was left in the NES. I thought that strange, but didn't dwell on it.

On Friday, a day I usually work from home, I had to go back into work to take some photos and stopped by the thrift store on my way home. As I walk in I nod to the same cashier as the day before. He was talking to some customers, but he smiled at me and motioned his head to the back of the store. Well what the hell is that supposed to mean :? .....

Oh yes, he found some games. And there were some nice ones in that pile.

Image

Games - $1.50 each
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Rescue Rangers
Super C
Demon Sword
Double Dragon II
Battletoads
Flying Warriors
Darkwing Duck
Castlevania
Mag Max
Paperboy 2
Mike Tyson's Punch Out
Legend of Zelda

Poor Darkwing looks like it had a nasty run in with a sticker, but with the exception of Castlevania and Zelda every-thing's a nice new addition (even if I'll never be able to beat Battletoads).

But those aren't what really put a smile on my face.

These are the games that put a smile on my face.

Hot diggity damn! Someone was a Capcom fan. It's an early Christmas miracle!

Games - $1.50 each
Gargoyle's Quest II
Mega Man 5
Ninja Gaiden III

My NES Ninja Gaiden trilogy is now complete  I spent a decent chunk of change, all-in-all, but considering what I got I was pretty damn thrilled. Especially since any other time I find NES games in the wild they usually consist of Super Mario Bros., Hockey, or Baseball.

Who ever said Friday the 13th was nothing but bad luck.
