What to do with a package of imitation crab meat
What to do with a package of imitation crab meat
What should I do with it? Should I just whip out the mayo and make crab salad? Should I put it in some fried rice? I feel like that's a waste of perfectly good imitation crab. Anyone have any suggestions for anything more fun?

If you have anyone you're looking to get back at then it would be fun to stick it under their car-seat.

But Noise... I don't wanna know what random Google results think I should do with imitation crab meat. I wanna know what our members would do.
Besides, I'm a frikkin' librarian. I Google better than anyone else I know.

Is it chunks or strips?
If strips, roll up in wonton or similar wrapper, deep fry for 3 minutes.
While they are frying, melt a stick of butter, add a squeeze of lemon juice, mince clove of garlic to your taste, and chop some fresh cilantro - heat this altogether on low heat - pour into small bowl.
Dip the crab wontons in butter sauce and enjoy.

Deposit it in the nearest imitation trash can.
Seriously, if you have a cat, you could feed it to the cat. Under no circumstances should you try to feed that garbage to a person. Imitation crabmeat is not fit for human consumption.

It is chunk, not stick, but those both look like really tasty recipes. I shall endeavor, whatever I choose to do, not to set anyone on fire.
And hey, I actually like imitation crab meat. It's just made with fish and corn starch and whatnot is all. It's actually not TOO far off in ingredients from Japanese fish cakes, though I think imitation crab is a bit tastier and I prefer the texture.
I suppose I can always whip up a quick stir fry. I have some cooked jasmine rice in the fridge and random veggies sitting around. But hey, there's still time. The package isn't expired yet, so I'm not under the gun.
