Tomb Raider Is one of my favorite games of last gen.
@noiseredux
It took me about 10 hours. That includes a little over half the tombs being explored.

nice. 10 hrs is pretty much my sweet spot for a game like this. But seriously, really really enjoying it - about an hour and a half in.oxymoron wrote:Tomb Raider Is one of my favorite games of last gen.

Re: Share some of your best gaming screen shots
I have 11.2 hours into it according to Steam and that was with moderate exploration. Think I had around 75% completion. Really it feels like it is going to end around 3/5ths of the way through and I was really surprised at how long it was. Glad it went on though most of the super natural stuff happens in the last hour or 2. Also the only true boss battle that occurs is in the last 20-30 minutes.
Main thing that disappointed me though was the tombs. They were all very short and with no enemies present they just became simple time trial puzzles with environmental hazards. Think the longest I spent in a tomb was 10 minutes and that was because I overlooked a simple solution to the puzzle.
Sadly the dual wielding in the last picture only lasts for the final boss fight.
Here are some more shots.
Highest point in the game it's pretty epic to zip line down afterwards
.

What happens if you don't dodge the rubble piles during the sliding sequences. Skewering your throat on a rusty pipe makes for a rather gruesome death sequence.

Trust me. You'll want to come back and find all the little things after you're done. The environments beauty makes a trivial task such as 'find all the eggs' actually fun. I just can't believe they're going to charge $60 for the re-release on next gen. I mean the game'll be close to a year old!noiseredux wrote:nice. 10 hrs is pretty much my sweet spot for a game like this. I will say it's one of the prettier games I've played in a while. The environments are gorgeous.

Yeah and my pics are only on medium settings since I wanted a constant 60 FPS looking at the next gen footage it looks pretty much spot on with what the PC version has already achieved. Really disappointed that we got a re-release announcement instead of a sequel announcement would love to see another game or two in this run.noiseredux wrote:I will say it's one of the prettier games I've played in a while. My Steam playtime from when I beat it back when it came out is also 10 hours. I didn't go back to collect everything, though I found a fair amount the first time through.noiseredux wrote: nice. 10 hrs is pretty much my sweet spot for a game like this. Really enjoyed it as well.
