I'm playing AvP and I like it. At least the Marines part I'm playing now.Xeogred wrote:AvP was godawful too. And this just sounds terrible.

We all give a little leeway to games that are based on franchises we like. Lots of my friends think Aliens 3 on the SNES is garbage, and I think it's great.

That game even gave me a nightmare at some point.

Re: Alien: Isolation
Alien 3 is one of the handful of examples where I much prefer the Genesis release. It's ridiculously hard and occasionally unfair though.
The soundtrack by Matt Furniss is rockin' and the gameplay is a little faster.
The SNES version does have the neat little cutscenes. This same sort of thing happened with Robocop vs. Terminator.
I wouldn't call either version of Alien 3 garbage. They're pretty average but still a lot of fun.

I'm not a big fan of the Genesis version, but will give it another shot tonight. I love the level designs on the snes version and that you can choose the order of objectives. The animation is fluid, the music is great, and the boss battles are intense.

Not much to go on from those shots other than the tracker kinda looks like a P.K.E meter. Ghost Aliens?!
Still annoyed the game is based around Amanda. Such a forced retcon.
