There are many, many MST3K movies that I will not watch without the bots. In fact, there are some that are barely tolerable even with the bots. (The German adaptation of Hamlet springs to mind...) That said, I Accuse My Parents is one of my favorite episodes. The movie's premise is so ridiculous, and it shows that even the parents of the so-called "Greatest Generation" viewed young people as entitled and irresponsible. Moreover, the short film that precedes the feature is excellent!

Oh come on, that Hamlet adaptation episode is amazing! When I think of intolerable, I think of episodes like The Girl in the Gold Boots.

Your right. The short, The Truck Farmer, was awesome.

I am slowly working through every episode of the show again as I am building the bots. Servo is done, Cambot should be done today (orb cambot), Gypsy should be done by the end of the year. Crow on the other hand is a next year project.

We will have to agree to disagree on that one...Moreover, The Girl in the Gold Boots is awesome! The continuity errors are so pronounced, and the "theme song" is so catchy. I loved it. (Seriously, it is one of my favorite episodes, and the movie is a combination of exploitation, entertainment, and schlock that would be fun to watch even without the bots.)

I completely disagree! But my favorite episode is Space Mutiny, so what can you do?

Also, that band that plays in the club in The Girl in the Gold Boots featured Donald Duck Dunn, who would later be one of the band members in The Blues Brothers.

Last night my wife and I watched:

Wake In Fright (1971). It was an excellent Australian thriller about a school teacher who stops at "The Yabba" - a fictional town in the Australian outback - while attempting to return to Sydney. The inhabitants of "The Yabba" are notoriously friendly and hospitable, but their friendliness, hospitality, and penchant for binge drinking cause the teacher to make a string of very bad choices and lead him to increasingly desperate situations. The film is steeped in both alcohol and horror conventions - I never thought the words "How 'bout a beer, mate?" could ever be so horrifying - and its surreal imagery and sound editing reminded me, at times, of David Lynch's best work. I highly recommend it to both horror fans and fans of new wave cinema, but a very graphic, unstaged kangaroo hunt about an hour into the film probably will not sit well with animal lovers or those without the stomach for actual gore. Finally, the film is currently streaming on Netflix; so, those of you with the service can watch it instantly.

So very tempted to call those phone numbers.

Poop. Ed Helms is the new Frank Drebin for the THE NAKED GUN reboot. I now hate Ed Helms.
