GOG.com Winter Sale (All classic Fallout games for free)

Post by MrEco »

Just a little heads up to anyone who might not know yet, GOG.com has started their winter sale. They haven't said how long it will be going on for.

However, for anyone interested, for the next 46 and a half hours they are going to be giving away Fallout Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics for free. Almost's makes me wish I didn't already own those games.

Unfortunately right now the site is being very slow to load for me, they must be getting a lot of traffic.

Here's a link for anyone interested.

Nabbing these for sure, there's no reason not to.

Nice. I hope I can get these running on windows 8.1

Forlorn was just talking about wanting to play these recently I thought, or maybe I was digging through old threads.

It took me a couple of tries, but I got them! $30 worth of games for free, why not?

ooo. Interested. I prefer to get games on Steam when possible just because of achievements, friend system, etc. But I do like the idea of GoG a lot. :)

The vast majority of GOG games, even if on Steam, don't have Steam integration, so there's not really much difference between getting them on GOG vs Steam.

The Witcher 2 has Steam achievements. Just started that yesterday. Perhaps most of the older games do not. But still, it's nice to have it tied to Steam. Maybe just because I'm used to PSN and XBL. It's just nice having the integration even if the achievements aren't always there. Obviously DRM free gaming that GoG offers has its advantages too.

Shouldn't have to worry about that, GOG personally updates every game they sell to work on modern Windows OS's.
