DLC worth buying
Re: DLC worth buying
Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Missing Link DLC was great. A whole new game segment that was quite fun, and truer to the Deus Ex model.

Yeah, it was good stuff. I touched on that in a previous post. What I found so impressive was how comprehensive VC's DLC was. It covered every base. We got more story for certain characters. We got new weapons. We got new maps. We got new challenges.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:Valkyria Chronicles has some good extra maps and a side story with Selvaria.
I like the fact that as they released harder maps and challenges, they made more and more powerful weapons available as well. It was all very balanced. Some of the harder maps they released were fun. I had to watch some youtube videos to beat them with the best rank, and I discovered some very cool gameplay tricks that I would have never discovered otherwise.
What's great too, is that while all of this stuff added meaningful content, none of it felt like stuff the game needed. You didn't get that feeling that it was just stuff that they left out of the game so they could charge more.

If you love the Ace Attorney games as much as I do, Dual Destinies' DLC case is totally worth it. Six dollars may seem like a lot, but it's how much you pay for each case anyways. Besides, I'll pay six dollars to get a single case rather than wait a year or two to get a new game any day.

Since I never talk about this game:
The Black Label DLC for Mushihimesama Futari is fantastic. For $15, you are adding an entire new arcade port to your game, and Black Label is as good, if not better than the original 1.5. Black Label's Original mode has much more depth than 1.5's (and arguably the best scoring system of the bunch), but is a bit easier to approach as a new player. God mode is much more accessible than Ultra, but still gives you a ton of challenge, and if BL Original has the best scoring system, God mode is a close 2nd.
You don't need a JP account for this one either, just log into live on your computer and search for "Mushihimesama Hutari Black Lavel"
