Game Collections (generic title)!
When compiling a list of your collections, like on vgcollect.com or the Collectorz software, do you all include your free games from Xbox Live or PS+?
I'm currently adding my collection to vgcollect and I'm not adding them basically because they aren't technically mine. If I choose to no longer subscribe, those games are gone.
Thoughts?

i'd add 'em if i did that. i mean they're licensed to me for the time being. it's no different than having a game then choosing to sell it/trade it later on down the road.

Same...to a degree. I mean I'm going to one day end up catalogging my PC games and will count all of my Steam games which most if not all are just digital games.soul_hacker wrote:I never count digital games.
Oh and OP might I suggest a handy little catalog program called Sisimizi Game Catalog? Very easy to use and lets you add all sorts of things about it like discription, picture, basic info like year, developer and so on...I used to use backloggery for my collection but this program is like 10 times better then it. Currently i'm switching my collection over from a basic Excel list to Sisimizi and while it does take more time to fill out all the little blank boxes on a Sisimizi page, in the long run it feels clean and much more organized.

i have a shitload and i'm contemplating going mostly digital here soon. between steam, gog, PSN, xbox live, emulators and my ipad, the majority of my games are all digital in some form or another. it's kind of refreshing to not have such an insane amount of games that i know i won't play taking up space in my house. i'd rather have an "on-demand" library that i can boot up and play whenever i want.

That looks interesting. Might check it out more and see if I want to convert from my spreadsheets I have going on right now.GirlGamer55 wrote:Oh and OP might I suggest a handy little catalog program called Sisimizi Game Catalog?

It's good, but like I said it takes time to fill out everything. And if your OCD like me you have a little trouble finding everything out to fill in the blanks.Hobie-wan wrote:That looks interesting. I count digital games on my Backloggery. I don't have any PSN+ games or similar, but I'd probably count them whilst I had them - assuming they were games I actually wanted in the first place. If they ever became unavailable to me, I'd delete them.

Re: Game Collections (generic title)!
I would say that a solid 90% or more of my game collection is digital. Mainly because I'm a huge PC gamer and I won't buy a PC game if I can't buy it on Steam. However, I do have a decent amount of digital games that I have purchased on my PS3 and Vita. So I will also count those. The ones in question are the "free" games from PS+. Those are the ones I'm torn on.soul_hacker wrote:I never count digital games.
I will definitely check that program out. Thanks for the heads up.GirlGamer55 wrote: Oh and OP might I suggest a handy little catalog program called Sisimizi Game Catalog? .
I am torn. I like both. I love the convenience of a digital library, but I love the physical collection. I would be more likely to go 100% digital if I knew that my digital purchases on PS3 and the like would be available on newer systems. I'm worried that my games will be made unavailable once PS3's are no longer available once Sony turns the content servers down. Especially seeing how PS4's don't give you access to digital games on the PS3.aaron wrote:i have a shitload and i'm contemplating going mostly digital here soon. between steam, gog, PSN, xbox live, emulators and my ipad, the majority of my games are all digital in some form or another. it's kind of refreshing to not have such an insane amount of games that i know i won't play taking up space in my house. i'd rather have an "on-demand" library that i can boot up and play whenever i want.
