Dreamcast Dragoncast D.C VGA II Problem

Hello,

I bought the Dragoncast VGA II on ebay for my Dreamcast. The seller provided me pictures of the working VGA box. Today I got the package and wanted to try it on my Dreamcast, but it doesn't seem to work. There's is a power light, but it doesn't light up at all and there is no picture on the screen to be seen. The Component signal doesn't work either. Any idea?

Hmm, I was eyeing perhaps the same one you won,I found it rather interesting how this model looks rather similar to the official one in outer design. Anywho, Dragoncast accessories are garbage. They are terribly made products. Have you tried all connections on the box by any chance (AV, Svid)? More imoprtantly have tried the box on various screens and TV's with VGA connection?

Yes I tried all possiblities. I connected it to my HDTV and my PC monitor. I also tried all other outputs the device provides. I just curious, because it's a reliable ebay seller, and like I said he had a picture on ebay with the working box, and a flashing light.

Hmm... if none of the outputs on the box works than the issue may be DC connector portion of the accessory. Most likely not making contact with the inner PCB or the PCB is fried altogether. I'm sure the seller is a good vendor, I'm not implying he intentionally sold you a busted item. These things just happen. If you dont feel comfortable opening up the accessory to fix it yourself, than request a refund.

The vendor hasn't replied yet, but all over sudden it worked, though still the power LED isn't working. I wonder how long it will work
