It is actually a really good game. I'm going to download the ROM.

I was wrong, it was a Mega Drive game and not a Master System game. That's why I could never borrow it from friends when I was a kid.

Huh. If I'd known the system, I would have known it.

I've seen that game a few times, but I have no idea if it's actually any good.

It is really rare times when some one comes in the store and he says "I know nothing about this " . I understand some added information was given to him by research team of the show about certain items, but most of the time he seems like he knows what he is talking about.
I think you answered your own question.
THIS. The show is not live either, makes me wonder sometimes if it is scripted. When a so called expert is called in, usually the item is devalued to help in the purchase. I love both Pawn Stars and American Pickers for seeing all the unusual items but don't the idiots bringing stuff in realize they can sell it for a lot more off the camera some where else!? If anything I would mark it up knowing the show itself makes a huge profit through the History Channel commercials.

Curse You! Never heard of the game and now want to play it! Its not on the AT Games 80 game console either. Ah well, always nice discovering another "new" retro game. :)

Funny how this one EBay auction uses a related background art for the picture shoot. :D
Oooh, but those ugly rental stickers!

Not only is it scripted, the items that are brought in are sometimes hand selected.

I've also seen him say he has no idea what the item is or it's value often enough. I think, just as in most reality type shows, there is a level of it being scripted (especially the little funny skits or side stories) but he has also been doing this a long time and seems to be a genuine history buff.

Has anyone ever pawned anything in an episode of Pawn Stars?

I've enjoyed the show from the start but this season it seems half the time is spent on characters themselves doing dumb personal shit i don't care about or the misadventures of chumley's dumb ass. Keep the show about items.

The "I have no clue what this is worth" items are always the best.

What I'd really like to know is how the "transactions" are actually processed.

Definitely a character, I actually like some of his stories. Items probably been researched before he visits the shop.
